FIBERGLASS – Johns Manville Micro-Lok and Knauf Fiberglass Pipe Insulation with factory applied All Service Jacket with self seal tape. These products are rated for temperature use of ambient up 850/1000 degrees respectively. These products will cover a wide range of mechanical applications.
RUBBER – Armaflex Pipe Insulation in both regular and Non-halogen (Navy) made by Armacel. Excellent product for low temperature and refrigeration piping systems.
POLYETHYLENE – Tubolit polyethylene pipe insulation used as an economical, “closed cell” pipe insulation for chilled water or hot water piping systems. This product is produced by Armacel.
POLYISOCYANURATE – Trymer and Styrofoam insulations for refrigeration and cold operating piping systems. These brands are produced by Dow and are fabricated to order.
FOAM GLASS – This product is produced in block foam by Pittsburg Corning and is fabricated to order. It is a lightweight rigid material, is closed cell and has excellent properties for cryogenic and under ground piping systems.
PIPE AND TANK INSULATION – This product is called Micro-flex produced by Johns Manville. This product is made in a semi-rigid fiberglass blanket bonded to a flexible facing (ASJ or FSK). This product is used for large diameter pipe, any size tank or vessel, as well as pipe clusters, where an irregular shaped insulation is required. Alternative forms of Pipe and Tank insulation are available fabricated from fiberglass board insulation. This type of finished product can provide a much higher level of compressive strength, but can be more time consuming during the application.
CALCIUM SILICATE – This product is a high strength molded pipe or block insulation used in high temperature piping systems as the temperature rating for the product is 1200 degrees F. Its high compressive strength makes this an ideal product to be used in “high mechanical abuse zones”, typically found in piping systems in Refineries and some Power Plants.
MINERAL WOOL – This is another form of high temperature pipe and board insulation rated to 1200 degrees F. This is a man-made mineral based fiber with densities nearly twice as high as fiberglass, making this product an excellent choice in high temperature piping systems, but preferably in non mechanical abuse zones, as it does not have the same strength characteristics as Calcium Silicate.
